Die "Drittklassler" besuchen England

From May 31st to June 6th we travelled to London (Pinner) for our school language project. We flew from Innsbruck to London Gatwick and by tube up into the northwest to Pinner. Our host families picked us up and we spent our first night there.

On Sunday we went on a sightseeing tour on an open double-decker bus through the main parts of London for about an hour and a half. The weather was lovely and it wasn’t windy at all. In the afternoon we also visited Tower Bridge Exhibition. It was really interesting.

On Monday there were four lessons at OME language school (2 groups). We did a lot of talking and played different games. After lunch we made our way to the most fascinating Ferris wheel in Europe. We had a really gorgeous view from the top of  London Eye.

On the next day we were visiting the Emirates Stadium of Arsenal. After that we went to Baker Street by tube. There we admired Madame Tussaud’s, a famous waxwork museum. We took a lot of photos with all those popular celebrities.  On Wednesday we started at the London Dungeon which was really scary and the smell was terrible down there. In the afternoon we went to see the musical “Wicked - the witches of Oz”. It was absolutely amazing and most of us liked it very much. Everybody was dressed dead gorgeously.

The next day we had four lessons at OME language school again. This time we had to go to Pinner Park and there Gurol organized the lessons on the first floor of a lovely café, in two big rooms with a beautiful view on a pond and the park. After school we travelled to Camden Town (Horse Stable Market) to go shopping. Within two hours we could get everything we liked and saw a lot of amazing and weird shops. At home we started to pack our suitcases for the next day.

On Friday we flew to Munich from Stansted Airport. A coach took us back to our home valley. Our families were already waiting for us at “Leisure Centre Wenns”. We drove back home and showed our great number of photos. We think all of us enjoyed London very much.
